This is being reposted to restore the link to this original post. I made many sacrifices and took huge action to change my mindset and let me tell you, it was worth every minute. What does science say about the Law of Attraction? She had come to believe completely in the so-called 'Law of Attraction'. The good thing about this law is that it makes people take 100% responsibility for their actions and their experience.
This seems to me about as logical (comparing very great things with little) as to say it was no use in Newton showing laws of attraction of gravity & consequent movements of the Planets, because he could not show what the attraction of Gravity is». The science is interesting but upon first learning about the Law of Attraction, I did not really believe it but I don't blame the author for trying to reinforce our belief to increase our faith in this method of achieving one's goals.
It's curious that people who believe in a LOA are critical of those who don't and believe them to be close-minded. One person wants world peace the other wants world destruction, both parties think positive (being subjective) and take all actions required the universe should balance it out in the gray area.
The only ‘evidence' that exists to support the Law of Attraction is anecdotal. Thus, Islam and the Law of Attraction teach that a believer must engage the world with faith and with confidence, expecting success, abundance and prosperity in accordance and in alignment with Divine Nature and Divine Will.
Once your mind can adjust to this new way of thinking, you will be well on your way to finding pleasure in life and in almost all Katherine Hurst situations. But if you have a goal in mind set and put a plan behind it, like dieting and exercise then the positive thinking and imagery will act as a propellant to keep you going towards your goal.
I was using the LOA to attract money into my life so I could one day impact the world and become rich within a certain company. In this book, through meditation, the author tries to explain that the world ‘without' (i.e. your environment, lifestyle, the people around you etc.) reflect the world ‘within'.
The fact that we build evidence to support our beliefs is not evidence that a law of attraction Law of attraction exists. You cannot prove the Law of Attraction works (results are 100 % speculative and suggestive). I never thought i could achieve anything in life till i read the secret.
Law of attraction methods rely on faith in the universe - make no plans and take no action (so say the LOA experts). You are correct that I do not believe in a law of attraction. It makes using law of attraction easier when we know how malleable our beliefs are; how flexible our rituals, and even how ancient and diverse are our gods.
Many people are familiar with the Law of Attraction” now due to the popularity of the book and movie The Secret”. In the past 30 years, this book has been used as the basis to teach many people about the Law of Attraction, and was the inspiration for the movie, The Secret.
One of the best and open-minded books I have read in a long time. The law of attraction is merely one of the twelve - yes twelve, universal laws. A ten year old of normal mental capacity, believing in something like the Law of Attraction, would quickly realize that if it works for her, it could work for other people, and those other people might not want the same things she wants.
Building on the advances of the Middle Ages, Kepler conceived, albeit in rudimentary form, the fundamental physical ideas of mass, inertia,” and gravitational mutual attraction.” These splendid concepts were later developed and carried forward into Newton's era by several 17th-century natural philosophers.
